Getting Started
We invite you to take part in whatever we have to offer, in whatever way you like, and as often as you like.
It is common at first to feel a little intimidated or confused as you hear new terms or engage in unfamiliar activities. In Buddhism, “beginner’s mind” is celebrated as a quality of experience already close to the heart of the matter.
The most important thing is to be patient and ask plenty of questions.
Joining Us on Monday Night
Our Monday night gathering is the heart of the community. Newcomers are always welcome.
We meet every Monday at 6:30 PM Mountain Time in the Labyrinth Room at Heart of Steamboat United Methodist Church and online through Zoom.
If you join online, you will be able to participate along with those sitting in the room.
Join Tim and the community as we explore our practice and the path together. Everyone is welcome.
Membership and Donations
You do not need to become a member to attend gatherings or participate in BCSS programs. We welcome people to participate as much or as little as they wish.
If you benefit from the teachings and community, donations of any amount are appreciated and help support our offerings. No one will be turned away because of a lack of funds.
If you have questions or suggestions, contact us at info@steamboatbuddhistcenter.org.
