Imagining a Sacred World

Weekend retreat for The Buddhist Center
September 22-24, 2023

“We all imagine a way of being that is more open, free, and connected than what we’re experiencing now. Whether we know it, or not, everything we do is motivated by the impulse to make this possibility a reality. The Buddha, himself, was driven by this same longing. Through his example and the guidance of our wisdom lineage, we can discover a way of experiencing our lives and the world around us as being open, alive and fundamentally good. This is the nature of enlightened vision, the dawn of “sacred world”. During the weekend, Tim will draw from wisdom of the great bodhisattvas of the past and, in particular, from the guidance of his own teachers.”

“When our mind is open and fresh, we see beauty everywhere, including within ourselves. There’s a sense of savoring the uniqueness of each moment. Things have never been just the way they are now. Nor will they ever be just this way again. We’re in tune with the transience of the world, with its poignancy and its profound richness.”
