Exploring Meditation

 Mondays - March 11, 18, 25 and April 1 at 6:30pm

In meditation, we explore the landscape of the heart and mind with awareness. What we discover is a true and lasting happiness that does not depend on the outer conditions of our lives. Join us for this wonderful 4-part series of meditation teachings based on DVD presentations by the extraordinary meditation teacher, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.  The evening will include instruction, discussion and meditation practice led by Tim Olmsted the founder of the Buddhist Center. This series is appropriate for those new to meditation, or old hands, and for people of any faith.

Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche is a rising star among the new generation of Tibetan Buddhist masters.  With a rare ability to present the ancient wisdom of Tibet in a fresh, engaging manner, Rinpoche’s profound teachings and playful sense of humor have endeared him to students around the world. His first book, The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret and Science of Happiness, debuted on the New York Times bestseller list and has been translated into over twenty languages.
